HYGIENE BEST PRACTICES

Club Hygiene Guidelines

To keep our training environment safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone, all members must follow these hygiene best practices:

1. Personal Cleanliness

✅ Shower after training to minimize bacteria and odor.
✅ Keep your nails trimmed short to prevent scratches and infections.

2. Gear Maintenance

✅ Wash your gi, rash guards, and training clothes after every session – no exceptions!
✅ Keep your belt clean; it touches your training partners too.
✅ Wash knee pads, elbow pads, and any other gear regularly.

3. Skin & Health Awareness

✅ Check your skin for any signs of infection (ringworm, staph, etc.) and do not train if infected.
✅ Cover any small cuts or abrasions with clean bandages before training.
✅ Stay home if you’re feeling sick or have flu-like symptoms.

4. Mat & Gym Hygiene

✅ Always wear clean flip-flops/sandals off the mat—never walk barefoot off the mats!
✅ Report any unclean areas to instructors so they can be addressed.

5. Respect for Training Partners

✅ Avoid excessive cologne, perfumes, or heavy lotions that can transfer to others.
✅ If you have long hair, tie it back to keep it out of your partner’s face.

By following these hygiene rules, we create a healthier, more enjoyable training space for everyone. Let’s roll clean and train hard!
